Energy Savings That Start on Day One: Built-In Efficiency with Evergreen Homes
At Evergreen Homes, comfort and energy savings aren’t upgrades—they’re standard. From the first day you move in, your home is working smarter behind the scenes to keep your family comfortable and your energy bills under control.
Whether you're settling into The Reserve at Crystal Lake in Commerce Township or finding your home at The Meadows of Cherry Hill in Canton, energy efficiency is part of every floor plan we build.
Here’s how your Evergreen home keeps things efficient from the start:
Fully Sealed for Comfort
Our homes are sealed with care. You’ll find energy and duct sealing throughout, plus Tyvek® house wrap (or equivalent) to create a weather-resistant barrier that protects your home from the elements. This keeps air leaks out and consistent temperatures in—year-round.
Smart Heating and Cooling
Say goodbye to outdated systems and high utility costs. All of Evergreen homes include a Carrier® (or equivalent) 95+ energy efficient gas furnace with an electronic starter and a high-performance energy- efficient air conditioner. Together, they offer comfort you can count on—and serious savings over time.
To make managing your climate even easier, we install a Wi-Fi programmable thermostat with digital display, so you can adjust your settings anytime, from anywhere.
Energy-Conscious from the Outside In
We take insulation seriously—starting with what you can’t see. Each Evergreen home built features ThermalDrain® synthetic protection board installed on the exterior of the foundation wall. This innovative material provides both thermal insulation and effective drainage to help prevent water infiltration, creating a powerful barrier against the elements. When paired with our spray-applied waterproofing system, it protects your home from the ground up.
Inside, our insulation package includes:
- Combination R-13/R-19 fiberglass insulation in all exterior walls (living areas)
- R-38 fiberglass insulation in ceilings
- Insulated exterior bonds
- Low-E glass windows to reflect heat in summer and retain warmth in winter
- Therma-Tru® 4 Lite Glass (or equivalent) insulated and weather-stripped entry doors to keep drafts out and comfort in
Built Better, Built Smarter
At Evergreen Homes, energy efficiency isn’t an option—it’s our standard. Our homes are designed to give you long-term value and everyday comfort, with thoughtful materials and technology that work for your lifestyle.
